Original 1/2 Imperial German steel helmet cut in half for wall- veteran display

  

Half of a original first war imperial German steel helmet. Ww1 1914-18 vintage German steel helmet.

Which has been cut in half for wall mounting display in the 1930`s. Veteran / war service souvenir.

Mounted on hard board with alloy strip to reverse for hanging. The helmet has three L brackets fitted inside , held by fittings drilled right through the helmet in three places 1/2 helmet held on the board by three alloy nuts. The original liner and chin strap lug. Paint missing along cut line, green/ khaki paint finish inside.

Measuring overall 35cm x 24cm. Only fault minor crack/ crease in hard board not noticeable from front.
